Food contact
Many of our
Yparex materials are sold globally and find their application in food contact materials (in multilayer materials, in masterbatches, etc.) Those materials needs to be compliant with the applicable food contact regulations in many regions around the world. We assess our materials on regular base according to these regulations. Our food contact statements (Declarations of Compliance) are

Drinking water
Our
Yparex materials used in the production processes of pipes intended to be used in contact with drinking water are assessed by certified bodies according to the national laws or European regulations applicable to these materials. For this purpose, The Compound Company provides detailed information on the composition of our materials to these institutes to support our customers in obtaining the relevant drinking water-approvals.
In addition, our Yparex materials for the drinking water industry passes successful the DVGW W542 (The German Association of Gas and Water Professionals requirements for compound pipes in drinking water installations) including the ISO 2578 long-term temperature stability test.
Other application specific regulations and standards
On request, the Compound Company will provide regulatory statements to their customers covering the compliancy with specific chemical regulations and standards. In close cooperation with the suppliers of our raw materials, we assess our materials on regular base according to many regulations. Those statements might include, but are not limited to, the following regulations; Directive 94/62/EC on Packaging and packaging Waste, State of California Proposition 65 list, Regulation (EC) No 2019/1021 on Persistent organic pollutants (POP), Directive 2011/65/EU on Restriction of the use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS), Regulation (EC) No 1169/2011 on Allergens, Global Automotive Declarable Substance List (GADSL), Absence of critical substances (e.g. SVHC Substances of very High Concern) and many other.
REACH and CLP
The Compound Company is fully compliant with the REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 as amended. All ingredients used in our materials (polymers, monomers, additives, etc.) are registered by our suppliers and meets the applicable REACH requirements.
We have Safety Data Sheets (SDS’s) available for all our products. These Safety Data Sheets are in compliance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 covering Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) of substances and mixtures. The CLP Regulation incorporates the United Nations Globally Harmonized System (GSH) of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals criteria and also compliments the EU REACH regulation.
