In 2022, The Compound Company acquired the production site and product portfolio of Yparex polymer resins (formerly Exxelor) from ExxonMobil in Cologne, Germany. These specialty modified plastic products are produced by CMP Cologne GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of The Compound Company. The warehouses of CMP Cologne are located in Frechen, Germany and Norfolk, Virginia USA.
The Yparex polymer resins made by CMP Cologne GmbH are based on functionalised elastomeric and polyolefinic polymers, and are produced through reactive extrusion. They act as impact modifiers, coupling agents and compatibilizers in a wide range of applications for automotive, building and construction, household articles and recycling.
