In 2022, The Compound Company acquired the production site and product portfolio of Yparex polymer resins (formerly Exxelor) from ExxonMobil in Cologne, Germany. These specialty modified plastic products are produced by CMP Cologne GmbH. This is a 100% subsidiary of The Compound Company. The warehouses of this manufacturing facility are located in Frechen, Germany and Norfolk, Virginia USA.
The Yparex polymer resins made by this production site are based on functionalised elastomeric and polyolefinic polymers. Produced through reactive extrusion, they act as impact modifiers, coupling agents and compatibilizers. This makes them suitable for a wide range of applications such as automotive, building and construction, and recycling.
