Resin Products & Technology BV was founded in 2005 as a spin-off from the Hartman plastics factory, a leading Dutch garden furniture manufacturer based in Enschede, the Netherlands (founded in 1983). Immediately from the start, Resin was positioned as a pure-play plastics compounder, with two compounding lines and only three employees on the payroll. In the start-up years the core business consisted of the existing garden furniture compounds.
In 2009 Resin was a pioneer with the launch of an almost 100% recycle-based compound for garden furniture, being among the first companies able to build a closed loop with a high quality compound.
In 2010, Resin changed the company name to EcoForte. A new name that better supported the strategy to develop plastic compounds with a more positive impact on the environment.
EcoForte has built an experienced team and infrastructure based on polyolefin compounds that now serve customers in the building & construction, infrastructure, automotive, and household sectors. By re-investing all profits in the infrastructure for the past two decades, the company has grown to an impressive compounding powerhouse with a broad array of skills.
