EcoForte PE MF50 100 is a 50% natural mineral filled polyethylene masterbatch in granular form. It is based on polyethylene with specific viscosity and blending properties. Designed as anti-block and infra-red masterbatch in horticulture films. EcoForte PE MF50 100 can be custom colored and UV stabilized, upon request, but is usually used in natural colour.
Pre-drying is not absolutely necessary. Moisture content is typically < 0,2%. Moisture sensitive materials are usually packed in sealed aluminium bags or aluminium lined boxes/bigbags. If material is dried, 2-4 hours at 55ºC is recommended.
Application
EcoForte PE MF50 100 works well within the usual bandwidth of polymer temperatures of PE based materials, which is between 150 and 200 ºC. Feeding is usually done with a small masterbatch feeding screw or through a separate mixing step with the main polymer. Color and/or UV can be added as masterbatch. Typical dosage level is between 5 and 25%.
