EcoForte PPC MF70 130

EcoForte PPC MF70 130 is a 70% mineral filled polypropylene in granular form. It is based on polypropylene copolymer with specific viscosity and blending properties. Designed as masterbatch, but also used as compound for direct injection moulding. EcoForte PPC MF70 130 has a high density and is therefor also used in granular form in liquid filtration systems as filter material. EcoForte PPC MF70 130 can be custom coloured and UV stabilized, upon request, but is usually used in natural base colour which is brownish.

Key features:

  • 40% natural mineral filled
  • Focus on mineral dispersion and high strength
  • Used as nucleation masterbatch to help crystallization of PP
  • Natural (beige) colour, but can be coloured additionally and UV stabilized
  • Easy and safe handling due to granular form
  • Used in tape and film extrusion, but other processing is possible

Pre-drying

Pre-drying is not absolutely necessary. Moisture content is typically < 0,2%. Moisture sensitive materials are usually packed in sealed aluminium bags or aluminium lined boxes/bigbags. If material is dried, 2-4 hours at 60ºC is recommended.

Application

EcoForte PPC MF710 130 works well within the usual bandwidth of polymer temperatures of PP based materials, which is between 60 and 230 ºC. Feeding is usually done with a small masterbatch feeding screw or through a separate mixing step with the main polymer.
