Pre-drying

Pre-drying is not absolutely necessary. Moisture content is typically < 0,2%. Moisture sensitive materials are usually packed in sealed aluminium bags or aluminium lined boxes/bigbags. If material is dried, 2-4 hours at 60ºC is recommended.

Application

EcoForte UltraMaxx 141 works well within the usual bandwidth of polymer temperatures of PP based materials, which is between 160 and 230 ºC. Feeding is usually done through the hopper of the injection moulding machine. Colour and/or UV can be added as masterbatch. Also other PP can be mixed in to lower the mineral content.

Injection moulding parameters

Temperature profile from feed to injection nose: 170 – 180 – 190 – 210 – 230 ºC
Mould temperature: 30 – 40 ºC
Injection speed: Medium

Storage and handling

EcoForte materials are available in various different packaging options and should be stored in a dry place and be protected f rom moisture and direct UV light. Do not stack pallets. Please contact your nearest EcoForte sales representative for more information.
Improper storage can cause degradation of the material, which could result in color changes, loss of performance and odour generation.
EcoForte materials are best kept in their original packaging. Comprehensive material safety data sheets are provided to recommend safe practices during usage.
EcoForte UltraMaxx 141 is recyclable and is safe to use in applications that have multiple lives.
