Quality Control Laboratory

The Compound Company operates laboratories at multiple locations, where we carry out continuous quality control on our own produced compounding additives to ensure consistent product quality. Additionally, we offer our laboratory services to customers on request - for instance, when they do not have the necessary methods or equipment available. Our capabilities include both physicochemical and mechanical analyses.

Physicochemical analysis

Physicochemical analyses are conducted to examine the properties and composition of materials, helping to confirm their compositions or identify any defects. The physicochemical analyses of The Compound Company’s laboratories include:

  • Melt Mass-Flow Rate (MFR)
  • HDT Vicat softening point temperature
  • FTIR spectroscopy (Fourier-transform infrared)
  • GC (gas chromatography) analysis
  • DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) thermographic analysis
  • Black specks
  • Colour measurement
  • Gel count
  • Ash residue

Mechanical analysis

Mechanical analysis are made to evaluate the performance and durability of materials. These analyses help ensure material reliability and suitability for a wide range of applications. The testing capabilities of The Compound Company include:

  • Tensile bench (tensile strength, E-modulus)
  • Impact strength (IZOD, Charpy impact)
