Our portfolio consists of extrudable adhesive resins for providing strong adhesion between incompatible film layers and peel compounds for providing easy opening plastic film seals in packaging. The resins and peel compounds are tailored for processes like blow moulding, blown film extrusion, cast film extrusion and extrusion coating.
Extrudable adhesive resins and tie-layers for multi-layer food packaging
Yparex adhesive resins provide the solution in multi-layer concepts where polymers are used which are incompatible. They show perfect adhesion between various polyolefins (polyethylene PE, polypropylene PP) and barrier materials like EVOH and polyamide (PA). When incompatible materials are used in film packaging tie-layers are needed to obtain the right properties, this is exactly what our Yparex tie-layer resins provide. Our Yparex packaging grades are compliant with the applicable food contact regulation in many regions around the world (EU, FDA, China GB, Mercosur, etc.).
Biobased tie-layers for multi-layer food packaging
Yparex RENEW is the first biobased tie-layer resin for multi-layer packaging, derived from bio-based polyethylene and fully recyclable. Besides sustainability, it also has an excellent performance. Yparex RENEW delivers outstanding adhesion between polyethylene and various barrier materials along with well-known excellent optical and mechanical properties of Yparex.
Peel compounds for multi-layer food packaging
Our EcoForte PF peel compounds are used in the sealing layer of co-extruded multi-layer packaging. Our peel compounds adjust the sealing and peeling behavior for a convenient to open seal. Easy to process over a wide temperature range, they provide the ideal amount of peel resistance. EcoForte peel compounds are available as PE and PP based grades and are applied as retortable seal-peel layers with substrates PE, PP, tinplate and aluminium. The peel compounds are compliant with the applicable food contact regulation.
