Reactive compatibilizing agents
Our Yparex reactive compatibilizing agents are often based on maleic anhydride grafted polymers. They play a key role in modifying the interface between dissimilar materials. As a result, these additives promote better dispersion, enhance adhesion, and ultimately result in a more uniform and stable blend between a variety of polymers and polyolefins.
Applications of Yparex compatibilizers
Yparex resins are used across a wide array of applications. From film applications to reduce gel and limit surface tension, to injection moulding, where they improve impact strength and resistance. Yparex has compatibilizers that are ideal for polymer blending, PE/PA and PP/PA recyclates, masterbatches and pigments. In additions selected grades can be used as an impact modifier in Polyamide 6.
Compatibilizers for plastic recycling
One particularly important application of compatiblizers is plastic recycling. The combination of different polymer types can otherwise lead to poor mechanical properties and phase separation. Our solutions deliver measurable performance improvements when working with recycled post-consumer materials.
