Vacuum Forming

Vacuumforming is a manufacturing process commonly used to create lightweight, detailed plastic components. The process starts with heating a plastic sheet until it becomes pliable. Once heated, the sheet is draped over a mould, and a vacuum is applied to draw the sheet tightly against the mould's surface. As the plastic cools, it retains the shape of the mould. Finally, trimming equipment is used to cut the formed sheet into individual parts. To optimize this vacuum forming various additives can be incorporated.
