Crosslinking POE based encapsulant solar films
The Yparex portfolio offers a special range of crosslinking polyolefin Elastomer (POE) based encapsulant solar films. These films are very successful in increasing the performance and service life of Photovoltaic Cells. Drawbacks of traditionally used EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate) films such as bubble forming, corrosion of solar cells and discoloration can be overcome by using these special POE based films.
Key benefits of Yparex POE encapsulant films with respect to EVA
Very low Water Vapour Transmission Rate
A low Water Vapour Transmission Rate (WVTR) is important for corrosion protection of the module and increases the service life of the PV-module. The Yparex POE encapsulant film shows excellent WVTR comparing to EVA and even to existing POE based encapsulant films (460 µm films at 25°C/100% Relative Humidity).
Non hazardous encapsulants
The majority of encapsulants contains volatile silanes. These silanes are added up to 1% as adhesion promotor. However when handling and during lamination, the silanes evaporate. Unfortunately the silanes can sensibilize the skin of humans. The EU 15th atp guideline 2020/1182 requires marking of the packaging of products containing more than 0,1% free silanes. Yparex encapsulants are non-hazardous.
